Howard joined the Chapman coaching staff in 2003 and has spent time coaching both the offensive line and running backs. In 2012 under Howard's watch, Chapman had its best rushing season in 17 years, averaging nearly 281.9 yards per game, leading the SCIAC and ranking No. 6 in Division III. Howard brings a heritage of experience as both a coach and player. Howard was a head coach for 21 of his 26 years coaching at the prep level. He played offensive line for Cornell College from 1972-76 where he graduated with a degree in health history and physical education.
