Mujica, Tweto are Chapman's top finishers at cross country regionals

ESTACADA, Ore. - Chapman University freshman Zach Mujica and sophomore Ariel Tweto were the team's top finishers at the NCAA Division III West Region cross country championships hosted by Lewis & Clark College on Saturday. Mujica finished 85th overall in the men's race, while Tweto placed 90th for the women.
Mujica was a model of consistency for the men in 2007. He was Chapman's top finisher in all five races and his best time and worst time were not more than 28 seconds apart all season long. He finished the regional championship race with a time of 28:45.45 in the 8K. His best time this year was 28:17 at the Vanguard Invitational on Oct. 6.
Tweto was also Chapman's leader in all four races she ran this season and was competing in the regionals for the first time. She ran a time of 25:12.65 in the 6K.
