WWPA names 22 Panthers to its All-Academic Team

The Chapman University women’s water polo team continues to be among the smartest squads in the pool. Even after leading the nation in team grade-point average last year, the Panthers improved their overall mark from 3.42 to a 3.45 team GPA during the 2009-10 school year. [more]

The Western Water Polo Association announced its All-WWPA team on Tuesday, with Chapman University sophomore Arielle Worthington earning honorable mention after averaging 1.6 goals and 4.7 shots per game this season. The Chapman University women’s water polo team could not overcome a first-half scoring outburst by visiting Azusa Pacific University and the Panthers dropped their home finale 14-6 at the Allred Aquatics Center on Wednesday afternoon.
