Chapman battles fog, tide and Aztecs

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - Rowing against an outgoing tide, the Chapman University women's crew team suffered a pair of defeats to San Diego State on Saturday morning in Newport Harbor. The Panthers Varsity Four continues to improve its race times however, finishing just 7 seconds behind the Aztecs with a time of 7:28.

Chapman's Novice 8 team also lost to San Diego State with a time of 7:10.6. The Aztecs' boat finished the race in 6:59. Both races were delayed due to early morning fog in the harbor.
