ORANGE, Calif. – The Chapman University men's and women's track and field teams competed in the SCIAC Multi-Dual #2 this weekend at Occidental College. Six Panthers set personal records at the meet.

Senior Michiko Yee and sophomore Mia Hernandez finished eighth and ninth in the 1500-meter run. Yee recorded a personal-best time of 5:10.13, while Hernandez finished just over a second later at 5:11.41 for a personal record. Sophomore Nika Cokas finished just behind them in 13th place with a personal-best time of 5:23.18.

Sophomore Sheridan Scifres also set a personal record, running the 800-meter run in 2:33.05, coming in sixth place.

Rookie Lauren Miller had a day, setting personal records in both of her events. The freshman took second place in the shotput with a throw of 11.08 meters (36.35 feet), and fourth place in the discus with a throw of 34.01 meters (111.58 feet).
