Whitworth elminates Chapman from NCAA playoffs

An early goal in the 7th minute of play proved to be the game-winner as the Chapman University men’s soccer team was eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Division III championships with a 2-0 loss to top-seeded Whitworth University on Saturday at U.C. Spotlight shines on seniors in final home game
The Chapman University men’s soccer team is hoping Monday night’s 3-0 victory over La Sierra University wasn’t the final game of the season. If it was, it turned out to be a fitting ending for a senior class that has led the Panthers’ to 12 and 11 wins each of the past two years. Three Chapman seniors scored goals in their final regular season games and the Panthers earned their 17th team shutout in two years as the playoff-hopefuls captured another win at Wilson Field.
