    ORANGE, Calif. – Junior punter Elias Deeb was awarded SCIAC Specialist of the Week after helping the Panthers control field position in their narrow 31-28 loss to Whitworth this past Saturday.

    The Chapman University football team scored 21 points in the fourth quarter but its comeback attempt ran out of time as the Panthers fell 31-28 at Whitworth. The Panthers’ offense gained over 500 yards in the loss.
  • Football faces first road test at Whitworth

    Chapman and Whitworth meet for the first time since 2015 and the 10th time in program history. The Pirates hold the all-time series edge, 6-3, but the Panthersx have won three of the last five meetings. Both teams come into the matchup coming off an opening week win and a bye week. Both teams also have a bye next week.

    Seniors Ian Fieber and Ben Bruce began the 2018 season with some big plays and were recognized as the SCIAC Offensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively. The pair helped the Panthers to a 36-6 win over Pacific.

    An overwhelming defensive effort and potent passing attack led the Chapman University football team to a 36-6 victory over visiting Pacific University to start the 2018 season. The defense bottled up the Pacific offense while senior Ian Fieber lit up the Panther scoreboard in his debut.

    Four years and two championships. The Panthers’ last senior class started and finished their careers with SCIAC titles. The class of 2018 will be trying to do something that hasn’t been done in the SCIAC since 2012 – repeat as champions.
