Another three-peat: ABCA names Rauh All-America, All-Region
The honors continue to roll in for Chapman University junior RHP Brian Rauh. Having already earned All-America honors for a third straight year and All-West Region honors from D3Baseball.com, Rauh has earned the same three-peat from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), announced at last month’s national championships banquet in Appleton, Wis.

Nationals take Rauh in 11th round of MLB Draft
Chapman University RHP Brian Rauh has been selected by the Washington Nationals in the 11th round of Major League Baseball’s 2012 First-Year Player Draft on Tuesday afternoon, the second day of the draft. The three-time All-America junior was the 354th pick overall and becomes the 11th Panther since 1999 to be drafted by an MLB organization.

Chapman ace named to Academic All-America baseball team
In just three years, Chapman University junior RHP Brian Rauh has turned the Panthers’ record books inside-out and earned a cluster of accolades to fill more than a few scrapbooks. However, this latest honor might be the most impressive. Rauh has been named to the Capital One Academic All-America Division III Baseball first team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

For the third consecutive season, Chapman University junior RHP Brian Rauh has earned D3Baseball.com All-America first team honors. Rauh becomes just the second player in school history to be named All-America three times in his career (Wayde Kitchens 2007-09).

Once again, junior RHP Brian Rauh has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District VIII baseball team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). This is the second selection for Rauh, who was named to the first team this season after being a second team honoree in 2011.

Another slam by Parr propels Chapman over La Sierra 16-1
An eight-run first inning propelled the Chapman University baseball team to a 16-1 win over visiting La Sierra University at Hart Park on Thursday night. The Panthers hit two first-inning home runs including junior OF James Parr’s second grand slam of the season and Chapman-record third of his career.

The Chapman University baseball team accomplished a pair of season firsts on Sunday afternoon in defeating visiting Whitman College (Wash.) 8-1 at Hart Park. With the win the Panthers earned their first series sweep of the year as well as their first three-game winning streak.

Offense rallies in support of pitching as Chapman takes two
The Panther bats were as hot as the Southern California weather Saturday at Hart Park for Chapman University baseball’s doubleheader sweep against Whitman College (WA). The Panthers collected 32 hits and outscored Whitman 20-1 in the two games, beating the Missionaries 13-1 and 7-0 to open the three-game weekend series.

Panthers’ ace junior RHP Brian Rauh suffered yet another no decision in the first game as the Sagehens rallied from a 2-0 ninth inning deficit, scoring two unearned runs in the inning, and then won it in the 10th by a score of 3-2.

Despite walk-off loss, Panthers take the series from La Verne
The Chapman University baseball team earned a much-needed series win over visiting University of La Verne as the two squads split a doubleheader at Hart Park on Monday to conclude the three-game series. Following a win on Sunday night, the Panthers took the first game of the doubleheader with a 10-3 victory. La Verne then used a walk-off RBI double in the bottom of the ninth to salvage the final game of the series 4-3.

The weather was the only thing cold in the Panthers’ dugout on Sunday evening as their bats showed signs of warming up. The Chapman University baseball team collected 13 hits, including six extra-base hits, while defeating visiting University of La Verne 6-4 at Hart Park.

Freshman starting pitcher John Prendergast threw a complete-game, five-hit shutout as Ithaca College defeated the No. 21 Chapman University baseball team 5-0 on Monday afternoon at Hart Park. The loss is Chapman’s third in a row and its 10th loss in its last 12 games.

All good things must come to an end and such is the career unbeaten streak of two-time All-American Brian Rauh. The Chapman University junior RHP suffered his first loss in 25 career decisions as visiting Rutgers-Newark University (N.J.) shutout the Panthers 2-0 at Hart Park on Saturday night. Rauh falls to 2-1 this season and now 24-1 in his career.

Late-inning miscues cost No. 2 Chapman in 3-1 loss to Claremont
